Jenny Arnold
Acting Headteacher
Hi, I'm Emma and I'm proud to have joined the fantastic team of staff and pupils at Arc School Old Arley.
I have worked in education for 19 years, 18 of which has been a much-loved career in SEND schools and 14 years have been specifically with Autism and complex behaviour.
I started my teaching career in an inner city mainstream in Birmingham, always knowing that my career path was destined to be working with vulnerable young people. After completing my NQT year I secured a job within post 16 as an English lead in a school for young people with cognition and learning needs as well as other associated needs.
After 3 and a half years I took up a middle leader role as an English and communication lead in a school for primary children with autism, this school is where I progressed into leadership, becoming Assistant headteacher followed by Deputy headteacher after 5 years. One of my proudest moments was, alongside the rest of the leadership team, supporting the school through an Ofsted and leading it from a requires improvement judgement to its first OUTSTANDING judgement.
I have 9 years' experience at Senior Leadership Level, within both primary and secondary SEND settings.
I am dedicated to making a difference, leading change and transforming lives.
